The singer and composer Vange Milliet, is definitely one of the best artists in Brazil’s new generation. She mixes regional rhythms with samples and electronic timbres. It’s a music with a strong rhythmic appeal and melodic richness, as mixed as its people.
On her second album, "Arrepiô" (produced by Paulo Lepetit), Vange developed herself as composer with partners like Chico Cesar and Itamar Assumpção. In her music "Terra Brasilis", she talks about the 500 years of the discovery of Brazil, and mixes her song with samples of indium’s voices recorded 50 years ago. In the music "Arrepiô", she play "coco" (Brazilian rhythms that seems rap), mixed with guitars and rabeca (a kind of rustic violin).
